Our Story
Cranexus Cranial Prosthesis was founded with a singular purpose: to provide individuals experiencing medical hair loss with solutions that restore not just their appearance, but their confidence and sense of self.
The name Cranexus was carefully chosen to represent the connection between the scalp and personalized medical hair restoration solutions. The word combines “cranial,” referring to the scalp and head, with “nexus,” meaning connection or link.
Together, Cranexus represents the connection between medical expertise, compassionate care, and advanced cranial prosthesis solutions designed to support individuals experiencing medically related hair loss.

In 2017, I was diagnosed with a medical hair loss condition known as Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia (CCCA), also referred to as scarring alopecia. Like many individuals facing medical hair loss, the experience was devastating and deeply emotional.
After my diagnosis, I began searching for solutions and tried countless products that promised hair regrowth. I invested in prescription medications, over-the-counter treatments, oils, and topical creams that claimed to restore hair. Unfortunately, many of these products produced minimal results, and in some cases the hair growth would fall out once the treatment was discontinued.
I then began purchasing high end quality cosmetics wigs. This became very expensive. In conducting research, I discovered insurance covers medical cranial prosthesis and have improved in the quality and natural look to simulate my own hair. This was was such exciting news.
Through this journey, I learned firsthand how challenging and discouraging medical hair loss can be. The emotional impact, combined with the lack of reliable solutions, inspired me to seek a better option—not only for myself, but for others experiencing the same struggle.
This personal experience ultimately led me to pursue certification as a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist and to create Cranexus Cranial Prosthesis LLC. My mission is to provide compassionate, professional support and custom medical cranial prostheses for individuals experiencing medically related hair loss.
